I thought I'd start a top ten list of great finds for the week. On twitter I post them as I find them, but here they are all put together! (in no particular order)
1. Gladiator-style sandals from Target. I personally think it's crazy to spend more than $20 on sandals.
These are $14.99 and also come in brown:
These are 19.99 and also come in bronze, gold and pewter:
(special note: I usually take a 7 or 7.5 in regular shoes, and I had to buy the $14.99 pair in a 6.5 in case you guys are ordering these online.)
2. Chic strapless shirt. I saw this shirt in-store and I fell in love with it. Unfortunately, they didn't have my size and I was buying it to go on vacation. I think it is perfect as a spring/summer transition. They had it paired with a matching caridgan that you could wear now, and wear alone when the weather gets warmer. I personally like the blue & black floral ones best, especially when paired with a solid cardigan. The fit is great for any body type as it does not cling at the tummy, and shows off some sexy shoulders! $14.50 at Old Navy

(special note: I think it is super-cool that the solids and prints are the same price. Way to go, Old Navy!)
3. Cropped cardigans. Also great for spring/summer transition. Can wear it now during the day, but also serves double-duty for a chilly summer night. Awesome paired with the shirt, above! Does not cover up a shirt/tank with a nice hemline, and does not make your waist feel bulky.
Originally $24, now on sale for $20. Comes in 9 colors. V-neck. Long sleeve:

$19.50. Comes in 9 colors. Rounded neck. 3/4 sleeve:

(special note: for the money, I'd definitely pick the v-neck, long sleeve. Never be cold, and never cover up a cute neckline. To show off a cute bracelet or if you get too warm, just push or roll the sleeves up a bit!)
4. These say "lounge gauchos" but I wore these SO much last summer in a variety of settings. Let's just say it can be your little secret that they are also comfortable! Can be dressed down in flip-flops, or dressed up by high heels.
$15. For the most versitility, grab them in black.

(note: fitting on the bum. Wear with hotshorts/boyshorts for best results/rear view.)
5. Scarves. Love them! Can dress up the cheapest/most boring tank or t-shirt. Can be tied around the waist if you already have a great necklace. Can do triple-duty as a hair scarf! Old Navy has a ton of different colors and patterns. Pick your favorite and wow the crowd! (or yourself, haha) $12.50.

(special note: I am in no way plugging Old Navy for any specific reason besides the fact that I went shopping there most recently.)
6. Short, flat booties. I know, I know, it's kind of weird because it's almost spring to think of boots. I saw them on my 13-year-old cousin who has a punk-rock style and really liked them. Can be paired with skinny jeans for a casual look. But I thought of them for SUMMER. How amazing would these look with a pair of shorts? Ditch the norm of flip-flops or sneakers for comfort and slip on a pair of these babies. I liked them so much I bought them in both black and tan. $22.99
(note: I personally don't have the luxury of having long legs. Was not a fan of these boots with skinny jeans. To elongate my legs I tend to wear high-heels with skinny jeans. For you shorter girls like me, grab these for the summer for shorts. For you tall girls, rock them any way you want! I guarantee you people will be asking you where you got them. Buy them soon because Target seems to sell out of popular sizes, fast!)
7. Belted silk shorts. I don't know what to say besides I think they are perfect in so many ways: Silk. Perfect length. Belted. Great for wearing out, or maybe even wearing to work! I love Express so much, but I don't always have the luxury of buying the things I want from there because they are out of my price range. These, however, are a staggering $19.99 marked down from $54.50. I have no idea why, but buy them before they realize they made a mistake or something!
(Downside: they appear to be dry clean only. But for the price tag of $19.99, you may not mind getting them dry-cleaned every so often.)
8. Knit Cardigan Vest. I almost fell out of my chair with this one. An office- to casual-wear layer with a long, slim shape. Perfect with a tank or t-shirt for everyday wear, or a button-down shirt at the office. Great with skinny jeans, leggings, dress pants, or even SHORTS for the summer! Comes in 8 colors. At $17.70 I may be ordering almost every color. Yes, I said $17.70!
(note: I love sticking belts around the middle of longer items like this. Try it out!)
9. Jumpsuits. One of the coolest things this season in my opinion. A flashback from the 70's. While this one isn't ideal due to it's lack of options for color and non-sale price tag, it is still pretty affordable, especially for being from Express. I will be on the look-out for less expensive jumpsuits with more colors for next week. On the upside, since it's not on sale you can try it on at any Express store and they will almost certainly have your size. $39.50
(Another great thing about this one is that it being in black, having buttons, and a belt, it looks less like an actual jumpsuit and so you might feel more comfortable wearing it. Also- switch out the black belt with a belt or scarf with a punch of color and matching colored shoes/sandals. )
10. Sundress. I was actually looking for a Maxi Dress (long, flowing version of a sundress) but couldn't find any online that I was impressed with. I don't know where you all live, but I found a great one at Marshall's for only $16.99. Again, I will be on the lookout for next week. This sundress pictured is still great, though. Only $10.50 and comes in 4 colors. Great look from day to night. Can wear over a bathing suit with flip-flops, and also dressed up with jewelry, heels, and a shrug/cardigan.

(note: being on the small side, I sometimes have an issue with the clothes at forever21 being too large even though they are a size small. Go to the store and try it on if you have a chance, but still a great deal nonetheless if you don't have that luxury.)
Hope you all enjoy this week's top ten list. Let me know your likes and dislikes, and if you have any requests for things for me to find cheap for next week!
